Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Yes. We provide shipping services through the most reliable carriers in the world β€” FedEx, USPS, DHL, and UPS.

Our carriers guarantee some express deliveries. If the carrier is at fault for a late delivery, they stand behind their promise. If a delay is caused by something outside their control β€” weather, mechanical failure, natural disasters β€” they will still deliver as soon as possible. We are your representative and are always here to help address any issue with your shipment.

Each carrier provides different shipping options and routes. We can compare all of them and match you with the one best suited to your needs, timeline, and budget.

We're authorized to ship with UPS, FedEx, USPS, and DHL. We compare rates and delivery times across all four so you get the best option without making calls yourself.

Yes. Most carriers offer next-day air and express options we can process during business hours. Bring your package before our daily cutoff times β€” call (719) 473-9205 to confirm today's schedule.

Yes. We offer professional packing from standard cushioning to 5-inch foam block mounting for fragile and high-value items. We exceed carrier packing standards β€” not just meet them.

Why of course, yes we can! We have experienced packers and use high-quality packing materials to pack your items securely and safely. Bring them by the store and we can take a look at what you have.

Absolutely! Westside Shipping & More can provide quality materials if needed, or you can use your own. We are eager to provide expert advice on how to pack your items. If your item is fragile or valuable, we excel at packing those and are glad to help.

Of course. Bring your items in and we can find the least expensive way to pack them. We have the right materials, trained packers, and will get the job done right using the highest standards. If necessary, we can also schedule an onsite visit to provide an estimate.

Great question. Every carrier has a set standard packing recommendation for their shipping process. Insurance providers often require a higher standard for items with a higher declared value. We always pack to the highest applicable standard based on what you are shipping.

If we shipped it, we will file a claim for you. A claim payment depends on inspection of the damaged goods and the shipping materials used. When quality materials and trained packers are involved, most claims are paid. We know the process and are always glad to help.

The outer box or container is never insured β€” only the contents. Items like clothing and textiles don't break easily and are typically not damaged in transit.

No. Some items don't require packing β€” typically heavy, solid metal items unlikely to be lost or damaged during shipping, such as motorcycle frames or truck axles.

We accept most common formats: PDF, JPEG/JPG, PNG, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. PDF is preferred for accurate formatting. If you're unsure about your file type, contact us and we can help.

No appointment required. Notary services are available Monday–Friday, 11am–3pm. Walk-ins are always welcome. If you have special scheduling needs, we can make arrangements to accommodate you.

Yes. In Colorado, notaries are commissioned by the State of Colorado. We have two commissioned Notary Publics on staff.

A valid government-issued photo ID and a notary block in your document. If your document doesn't have a notary block, we can provide one.

A notary block describes the type of notarial service being performed. Common types include Acknowledgements, Subscribed, and Sworn or Affirmed statements. We can also notarize copies of certain documents.

The State of Colorado limits the amount that can be charged for each notarial act. We currently charge $15.00 per notarization.

We offer document printing for customers who need their original printed, plus photocopying and scanning/emailing of finalized notarized documents. We can also send your notarized document via trackable express shipping β€” domestic or international.

Contact your state of residence β€” each state sets its own requirements. In Colorado, applicants must complete a notary training class and pass a Colorado State Notary exam to become commissioned.

You get a real street address β€” not a P.O. box. We accept packages from all carriers, notify you by email when mail arrives, and hold your items securely until you pick them up. Bring two forms of ID (photo ID + address verification), complete the USPS Form 1583 (we'll help), sign our rental agreement, and pay upfront. Setup takes 15–30 minutes.

Yes! We offer secure document shredding for individuals and businesses. Simply bring your documents in and we will ensure they are safely destroyed.

Absolutely. All shredding materials are placed in locked, secure bins that can only be opened by authorized agents of our shredding service provider. The bins are collected by our vendor and the contents are ground to a pulp and recycled.

Your documents are immediately placed into a secure, locked shredding bin through a one-way slot. The only way to access the contents is through the locked lid, which only the vendor can open. (If something accidentally falls in through the slot, it costs $78.00 for the vendor to retrieve it β€” so be careful!)

Shredding is priced by weight β€” the weight of the documents only, not the box or container they arrive in.

Yes. Customers bringing larger quantities receive discounted pricing per pound. The more you bring in, the lower the per-pound cost.

Absolutely. Our shredding service is ideal for small businesses, medical offices, legal offices, financial records management, home offices, and anyone needing secure document disposal.

Any document containing sensitive or personal information: financial records, tax documents, medical paperwork, old bills, bank statements, payroll information, client records, and junk mail with personal information.

No. Staples and standard paper clips can stay attached. Please remove large paper clips, large binder clips, plastic sleeves, and any non-paper materials before dropping off.

Yes. Bring documents in boxes, bags, or any container. We weigh only the shredding contents β€” not the container itself.

Pickup schedules vary based on the vendor's service schedule and bin capacity.

Shredding protects against identity theft and unauthorized access to sensitive information. Secure destruction ensures confidential information is no longer readable or recoverable.

Not at this time.

No. Documents are securely handled by the shredding vendor and destroyed through the pulverization process.

No. We accept both small and large shredding drop-offs.
